Braised Lamb
I am one of the lovers, I love lamb in every way it’s prepared… Barbecued, fried, grilled or braised and that’s how I prepared it for dinner tonight…
This succulent lamb dish gave my kitchen one of the most glorious aroma I have ever smelled from a dish in a long time and making it cannot be simpler than this recipe!
Preheat oven to 375
6-7 lb. lamb breast racks with most of the fat removed
1/2 tbsp. sea salt
3 tbsp. my BBQ spice mixture…. Recipe of the spices in this post Pulled Beef
4 cups of beef broth or water
1 tbsp. aleppo pepper
1 tbsp. minced dry onion
1/2 tsp. ground fennel
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 lb. red potatoes washed and cut into wedges

Remove the fat.
- With a boning knife trim the fat.
- Clean the fat as much as you can.
- Cut the racks into the size you desire.
- All clean and ready for the spices.
- Wash and cut the potatos into wedges and keep them submerged in water until they are needed.
- Place the lamb into a dutch oven or braiser pan, add all the spices and work it into the lamb until completely covered with the spice mixture…Add the beef broth or water… Cover and braise for 3 hours.
- The last 40 minutes remove the lamb from the oven, uncover and add the potatoes after discarding the water… try to nestle them between the lamb to soak up the flavors of the spices.
I served my braised lamb family style and as is, you could add a green salad as a side dish…
Enjoy!!
I LOVE it too!!!
