I love garlic and chicken combinations no matter how the chicken is prepared, shawarma, grilled, baked or boiled… garlic is the best companion to chicken in my opinion and this dish is the proof.

The garlic in this amazing dish loses its pungent harsh flavor and become sweet, velvety and creamy, so don’t let the garlic stops you from making this dish for your special date nights…

5 lb. skinless, boneless chicken breast cut in half each

1/2 tbsp. dry thyme

1 tbsp. sea salt

1 tbsp. black pepper

40 cloves garlic

1/4 cup flour

5 tbsp. olive oil

2 cups alcohol free white wine

1 lemon cut to wedges

In a small bowl mix flour, black pepper, salt and thyme.

Add chicken into a clean slow cooker insert and with clean hands rub with flour and spice mixture.

Add olive oil, white wine and lemon wedges.

Mix well, cover and cook on high for three hours.

Even though it was just me and the Mr. for dinner I served this delicious meal family style in a cast iron pot, it made the chicken dish shine and looked elegant on the table.

I served this delicious dish as is without any side dishes, just a crusty french bread to soak up the delicious broth, but it could be served with Salad or rice pilaf to complete the meal.

Enjoy!!
